Practical information
Questions, answered
Answers based on the house’s public listings. When something isn’t clear we say so and suggest you ask.
Booking
How do I book directly with Bidea?
Message Bidea on WhatsApp at +57 302 521 8306 — the “Reserva Directa” number the house publishes on its Linktree — or email bideahostal@gmail.com. The form on this site writes the message for you with your dates, number of guests and preferred room.
Does the form confirm my booking?
No. There’s no booking engine or live calendar: the form prepares a message and opens it in WhatsApp or your email. The house replies with availability and the rate, and the booking is made when they confirm it.
How much is a night?
It depends on the room, the season and where you book. To avoid showing outdated prices this site doesn’t publish rates: ask the house for the rate for your dates.
How do I pay?
The house’s listings mention payment in cash; for bookings made there, Booking.com mentions a bank transfer before arrival. Confirm the payment method with the house when you book.
Can I cancel?
On Hostelworld and Booking.com, each platform’s conditions for your rate apply. If you book direct, agree the terms with the house in writing.
Arrival
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in from 2 pm to 10 pm, check-out by 11 am. Let the house know your arrival time. According to Hostelworld, reception is open 8 am to 11 pm and there’s no curfew.
Where is the house?
At Cra. 3 #6-54 n, on the corner of Carrera 3 and Calle 7, two blocks from Filandia’s main square (Quindío).
How do I get there from Pereira, Armenia or Salento?
Minibuses (busetas) leave for Filandia from the Pereira and Armenia bus terminals; Bidea’s website estimates about 45 minutes from either and about 30 from Salento, though it depends on traffic and the vehicle. The nearest airport is Pereira; there’s also El Edén in Armenia.
Rooms
Are the dorms mixed?
Yes: the 6- and 4-bed dorms are mixed and share bathrooms.
Are there rooms with a private bathroom?
Yes: the double with private bathroom and the premium room. The other private rooms share bathrooms.
Are linen and towels provided?
Bed linen is included. Listings disagree about towels (Hostelworld mentions towels for hire and a guest says one was provided): ask when you book.
At the house
Is breakfast included?
Yes. The house has advertised it as complimentary and guests keep mentioning it in 2026 (sourdough bread, fruit, coffee). The house confirms the menu and the hours.
Can I cook?
Yes, there’s a fully equipped shared kitchen with a fridge. And coffee all day.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free throughout the house.
Can they help with tours and plans?
Yes: the house helps with tours (coffee farms, among others), personal Spanish lessons and tips. Ask for schedules and prices. See the experiences and build your route.
Is there laundry?
Hostelworld lists it among the facilities; ask about conditions and price.
Bikes, pets and kids
Can I arrive by bike?
Of course: there’s bike parking and Bidea’s website mentions a discount for cyclists (ask whether it still applies). Bike rental is to be confirmed.
Can I bring my pet?
The listings disagree, so write to the house before booking.
Are children welcome?
Booking.com says children of all ages are welcome and there are no cots. There’s a family room for up to six; confirm conditions with the house.

Is this Bidea’s official website?
It’s a proposed website prepared by Peashoot for Bidea. The contacts (WhatsApp, email, Instagram) are the house’s real ones, and the photos are the ones Bidea posted on Instagram.
